I've gone to four Asian markets on SR 7 / 441 from Sample to Commercial. This one has the best selection of a large variety of categories. This is the one I will be going to from now on. Selection of refrigerated meats/vegetables, frozen items, room temp vegetables/spices, a large variety of dry goods/non perishables as well as cookware/tableware items.
Got most of my groceries here, I love Asian market. This market was small but I got what I wanted.
Great for buying all types of Asian foods. Very good selection. I have been to a half dozen stores looking for 1/2 gal Kikkoman low sodium soy sauce, Cho A Dong has it.
Maybe it was because it was late, or because it was the holiday season, but this place was pretty bare. They did not have too much of the Korean or on the alcoholic beverages. They had about two different brands of sake, and one case of beer. Like I said I've never been there, so maybe it was just the holiday season and people have bought stuff. I went in there looking for soju, I asked the workers there and nobody knew what soju was. Which is very weird, maybe they just don't sell Korean products there, but knowing how there's a lot of Korean barbecue places around there I would think that they would know what soju was. If it wasn't because I was not familiar with the location, there seem to have been an actual Korean mart for blocks away on 48th and University.
Clean, nice staff, and a huge variety of different Asian products. It can be a bit overwhelming for the uninitiated because there are so many options. I will definitely be back regularly.
